Description

  • Bernd and Hilla Becher
  • 'PIPE DETAIL, OIL REFINERY, WESSELING/COLOGNE, GERMANY'
  • Gelatin silver print
large-format, ferrotyped, signed, titled, dated, numbered 'F3' twice, and editioned '1/5' in pencil on the reverse, framed, 1986

Condition

This ferrotyped print is in generally excellent condition. As is typical of ferrotyped prints, there is some small, scattered pitting on the shiny surface when the print is examined in high raking light. This is negligible in this print. Also in high raking light, the following are visible: a very small soft crease at the upper edge, and a slight wave in the paper. These do not affect the appearance of this large and impressive print.
