Condition
Needs a professional cleaning. Marked twice on the rocky terrace and on two nozzles. Maker's mark *245 Mi for Guido Fiorentini, via Bobbio 6, Milan. Also stamped 800 within an oval.

Catalogue Note
Ce groupe est inspiré du centre de table du duc d'York en vermeil créé par Edward Farrel à Londres en 1824. Voir collection Love, Christie's Londres, 19 octobre 2004, n° 200. Cette pièce haute de 91 cm et pesant plus de 32 kg a été commandée par le prince Frédéric Auguste, duc d' York et d' Albany (1765-1827), second fils du roi George III d'Angleterre. Ce groupe est considéré comme une des plus importantes pièces d'orfèvrerie anglaise de la première moitié du XIXe siècle.
