Condition
the silvered hilights on the guards rubbed in several places along the edges. Right hand vignette with two staining spots, the leaf with slight wear aroudn the edges.

La scène est d'après la seconde version du tableau intitulé Pelerinage à l'isle de Cythère, réalisée par Antoine Watteau en 1717. Cette version embellie fut réalisée en 1719 et est conservée au Palais Charlottenburg à Berlin.
The scene is based on the second version of the Pilmigrage to Cythera painted by Antoine Watteau in 1717. The embellished version was made in 1719 and is now in the Charlottenburg Palace, Berlin.
