The seemingly mundane water droplet ornament, simulating condensation, found on luxurious 16th century drinking vessels such as this beaker may have been a reflexion on the luxury of having ice.

Condition
Some normal wear, little dents, pitting and lack of gilding, cast ring at stem a bit crude, but general condition is good and marks clear
