- Vide-poche en argent par Joseph Chéret, Paris, vers 1895
- Gustave-Joseph Chéret, frère de Jules, entre en apprentissage chez Carrier-Belleuse et devient son gendre. En 1886, il succède à son beau-père à la direction des travaux d'art de la manufacture de Sèvres. Pour une pièce identique mais en bronze, voir Aguttes, Drouot, Paris, 8 octobre 2010, n° 228.

In overall good condition.
Marks: Minerva head and maker's mark on leaf stem, Minerva legible, maker's mark difficult to read.
