Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze is good. There is wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age. There is a black lacquer patina to the surface which was largely lost due to rubbing and flaking. There are some minor lacunas and small areas of minor roughness due to casting flaws including at the proper right shoulder. There is an original casting pin visible at the neck. There are attributes missing from both hands. The bronze is mounted on the later base with a modern bolt which is soldered to the bronze's underside. There is a restoration to one of the lower corners of the base and there are a few further minor chips to the marble.
