Description
- five reliefs with Sokrates, Alexander the Great, Zeus, Plato and Medusa
- ivory, in ebonised wood oval frames with a bronze border
- Italian, 18th century
four inscribed in Greek
Condition
Overall the condition of the ivories is very good. There is some minor wear and dirt consistent with age. There are some small areas of discolouration consistent with material.
The frames have some wear to the paint and a few minor nicks and scratches. There are traces of gilding on the bronze border.
