Condition
The panel is flat and uncradled and does not appear to have suffered any major damages. The paint surface, which has been cleaned and varnished relatively recently, is in good condition although there is a minor localised area of bitumenised varnish to the centre right which is a little abraded. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals some minor strengthening to the background above the upper bloom, some minor touching in the craquelure in the background and some minor retouchings to the centre right and lower left. Ready to hang.
Offered in a plaster gilt wood frame with some losses.
