Condition
The painting is yellower in tone than the catalogue illustration suggests. The old relining has not flattened the paint surface and the impasto is well preserved under the discoloured varnish. Inspection under UV light reveals only very minor scattered retouchings and confirms the good condition of the painting. Offered in a modern carved and gilt wood frame in good condition.
