Condition
STRUCTURE
The canvas has been lined and there is one patch, verso.
PAINT SURFACE
The painting appears to be good condition, with no apparent damage or loss of paint. There is a discoloured and dirty varnish overall.
ULTRAVIOLET
Examination under ultraviolet light reveals one area of retouching in the sky left of centre which corresponds with the patch on the reverse of the canvas as mentioned above. There is some minor infilling to craquelure along the bottom of the painting and in the foliage lower right as well as upper left. Ultra Violet also conforms the opacity of the varnish.
