Condition

STRUCTURE The paper has been laid down. PAINT SURFACE The painting appears to be in very good condition, with no apparent damage or loss of paint. ULTRAVIOLET Examination under ultraviolet light reveals one small, very minor area of retouching in the background, centre right. Otherwise the painting appears to be untouched. FRAME Held in a gilded, rectangular wooden frame. the picture is glazed.
