Condition
The canvas has an old relining which has lost its bounce. The painting is offered in a carved wooden frame with a few minor losses. The painting is dirty and under a discoloured varnish. The impasto is well preserved on the detials of the lace and the dress. The few retouchings which have been applied lower and centre left and lower right are visible to the naked eye as they have discoloured. These as well as a few other retouchigns flouresce under UV light. The painting would benefit from a clean.
