Condition

The canvas has quite a recent relining. The paint surface is a little flat though stable and clean, and it retains its decoartive nature through its weel preserved vibrant colours. No major damages are visible to the naked eye and the painting appears to be in good condition, apart from some areas of flatness, for example in the ledge on which the monkey is resting. Inspection under UV light reveals minor scattered retouchings in the sky and only very minor other retouchings. Offered in a carved and gilt wood frame in good condition.
