Condition
The stable support consists of a single horizontal panel bevelled on all sides. There is a slight convex bow apparent to the lower half of the panel.
The paint surface is clean and secure with the detail well-preserved, particularly in the trees to the right. The white pigments in the sky are slightly abraded.
Two small old restored scratches are visible in the sky just above the buildings, one measuring 5cm. and the other measuring 9cm. No other damages are discernible.
Inspection under UV light confirms the aforementioned retouchings and further reveals extensive scattered retouchings, mainly to the sky and the left hand foreground.
Offered in a gilt wood frame which is quite rubbed and has a few minor losses.
