Condition

The sheet has been carefully preserved and is possibly still presented in the original washline mount. The work has possibly been fully laid down, although it does appear to have been adhered to the present mount only at the extreme sheet edges. There are minor creases overall and which are particularly visible at the right edge of the sheet where this is a small area of paper loss lower right. The black chalk pigment is rubbed in places. There is a verticle scratch to the left of the helmet.
