Condition
STRUCTURE
The canvas has been lined.
PAINT SURFACE
The painting appears to be in very good condition, with no apparent damage or loss of paint.
ULTRAVIOLET
Examination under ultraviolet light reveals scattered infilling to craquelure in the flesh tones, and scattered minor retouching overall, particularly in the background above the sitter's head.
FRAME
Held in a carved and gilded wooden frame.
