Condition
The colour of the original is very slightly less yellow than it appears in the catalogue illustration. The canvas has a thin gauze strip lining. The paint surface is secure and in overall in good condition under a somewhat yellowed varnish. Some minor retouching work to an area of damage approx 2 cm squared in the darks of the left hand plum are just about visible to the naked eye and this is confirmed under UV light which also reveals some other minor scattered retouchings.
Offered in an ornate gilt wood and plaster frame structurally sound if a little rubbed.
