Condition

Hinged to the mount at the top margin. Overall in very good condition. There are a few paper creases, the most visible one at the top right corner. There is a slight brown stain at the top left corner by the inscription.

Catalogue Note

The large group of drawings by both van de Veldes which were included in the sale in Amsterdam in 1982 came from an English family, but without any previous provenance. The sale catalogue was written with the assistance of Michael Robinson, the great van de Velde expert.
