Condition

The first: Atkins: Shipping off the Isle of Wight Although some of the more delicate watercolour pigments have discoloured very slightly, this work has been generally well preserved. The sheet has discoloured a little and a faint brown line can be seen, on close inspection, running near the upper and left hand edges of the sheet. This work has been laid down. The second Atkins: Shipping off the Isle of Wight: Although some of the more delicate watercolour pigments have discoloured very slightly, this work has been well preserved. The sheet has discoloured somewhat and there is an obvious line, where the sheet has been protected from the light. This work has been laid down. Wigerus Virtringa, Sea Battle between the Dutch and the English Fleets: The medium has generally been well preserved in this work. There are several areas of surface dirt visible and one or two foxmarks in the upper left hand corner. There are numerous small areas of restoration, which can be seen on close inspection. This sheet has not been laid down.
