Condition
Robert Laurie: Portrait of H.R.H. Caroline, Princess of Wales (1768-1821);
The watercolour pigments are well preserved in this work. The paper has slightly discoloured and there are small areas of surface dirt. Along the extreme lower edge of the sheet there are the remains of an old adhesive tape. Further to this is a small area of pigment loss. In a raking light it is possible to see several areas where the sheet has been lightly rubbed or scratched. The work has not been laid down.
