Condition

Portrait of Richard Creswell: The watercolour pigments have slightly faded in this work. The paper has suffered from minor discolouration. Located in the upper half of the sheet are three horizontal creases. At the lower left hand edge of the sheet there are the remains of an old mount. This work has not been laid down, instead it is attached to a backing-sheet at various places verso. Portrait of Mary Creswell (b. 1758): The watercolour pigments have slightly faded in this work. The paper has suffered from minor discolouration. There are small areas of minor surface dirt and four small areas of restoration; The sheet has not been laid down. Portrait of a boy, possibly Master Cresswell: The watercolour pigments have slightly faded in this work. The paper has suffered from minor discolouration. There is also some minor surface dirt to the sheet. Located to the right of the sitter are two small areas where the paper has possibly been restored. The sheet has not been laid down.
