The canvas has a modern relining which has not overly flattened the paint surface, which is secure and in good condition, though dirty. The canvas joins of the catalogued extensions are visible on the surface of the painting. No major damages to the work are apparent though there are some patches of blistered varnish, most notably in the upper right and lower right hand corners of the painting, as visible in the catalogue illustration. Retouchings to these patches, along the canvas joins and a few scattered spot retouchings to the flower arrangement fluoresce under UV light, but further retouchings may be masked by the reflective varnish. Offered in a gilt and painted wood frame in good condition though rubbed.
