- Hieronymus Galle the Elder
- a Still Life with roses, tulips and other flowers in a bas relief vase on a stone ledge
- oil on canvas, in a carved and gilt wood frame
Condition
The canvas has a firm relining.
The paint surface is secure, though dirty and somewhat flat.
There is some frame abrasion to the left hand and upper margins and a knock to the the upper right hand corner but no major damages to the work are apparent.
A handful of scattered spot retouchings to the work fluoresce when the painting is reviewed under UV light but proper inspection is impeded by a reflective varnish.
Offered in a carved and gilt wood frame in good condition with a few knocks and minor losses.
