- A FULL-LENGTH GROUP PORTRAIT OF THREE FIGURES, SAID TO BE CONTESSA CONSTANZA MACHIAVELLI AND HER TWO DAUGHTERS

Condition
The canvas has a recent sensitive relining. The is a vertical join in the original canvas running the entire length of the painting approx. 60 cm in from the left hand edge. The paint surface is secure with many details well preserved. There are some scattered old restored damages and repaired tears the most notable of which are a vertical restored tear to the left of the woman left arm running form her shoulder to her wrist and an L shaped tear to the right of her head. Inspection under UV reveals confirms the retouching work to the aforementioned canvas join and tears and some other scattered retouchings elsewhere. Offered in modern gilt wood frame in good condition.
