The composition is copied from H.Guttenbergs's engraving of 1792 based, in reverse, on the painting by Sorgh in the National Gallery of Ireland, Dublin. The lot is offered with an oil on panel, 44.5 by 33 cm., of An Old Woman Selling Fish and Vegetables in the manner of Gerrit Dou.
