Condition

Overall the condition of the marble is good with dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age, including a few chips and scratches, including to the edges of the ground. There is naturally occurring veining throughout. There are a few slightly open stable veins at the front of the ground, including one with a small loss at the bottom. There are a number of small naturally occurring inclusions, including to the face. The left corner seen from the back appears to have been reattached and there is a visible stable repair here. There is a large T-shaped repair to the ground at the back and plaster has been used here. There are visible stable cracks at the bottom of both legs at the feet. There may be losses to the underside of the proper left foot. The little finger of the proper right hand may be reattached, there is a stable visible crack here. There is some wear to the nose and chin. There are a few losses, including possibly to the edges of the drapery and one to the right corner of the front of the ground. There is a mark to the top of the proper left wing.
