Provenance

Private collection, France.
Condition
The catalogue ilustration is too red in tone. The canvas has been relined and the painting recently cleaned and restored, and is in excellent overall condition with little or no sign of any wear. The only damage of any note seems to be a vertical 2 cm tear just above the central girl's head. The remainder of the picture appears beautifully preserved with all original details intact. The varnish remains clear and even and the picture will not require any further attention.
Offered with a later plain ebonised wood frame in good condition.
