Condition

The catalogue illustration is too red in tone. The support consists of a single flat and uncradled oak panel, bevelled on the top and left edges. The painting has recently been cleaned and restored and is in beautiful condition. There is little or no sign of wear and restoration is confined to only a few minimal local spot retouchings. The varnish remains clear and even and the painting will not require any further attention. The panel is sold with a later ebonised wood frame in the Dutch style in very good condition.
