First edition of the first American publication on medical education. Morgan was professor of the theory and practice of medicine at the College of Philadelphia, where America's first medical school was founded at his suggestion. The Discourse was delivered by Morgan at the College's annual commencement and published by William Bradford, the pioneer colonial printer.
