Catalogue Note
The fifth edition of Lactantius, published by the first printing house in Venice. Lactantius's popularity with the humanists was a result of his celebrated prose style, often considered second only to Cicero.
The last few leaves at the end of the main text contain verses, ending with a verse colophon, composed by Raffaele Zovenzoni of Trieste, a professional writer and editor who provided Vindelinus with verse colophons during the years 1471-1473.
