A working manuscript, in black ink, on fourteen-stave paper, with additions and corrections in pencil, numerous alterations, corrections and deletions, some erasures scratched out, the Stichvorlage, marked by and for the printer in pencil, staining consistent with use by the printer, with a sketch in ink and pencil on a leaf formerly suppressed and sealed together, with numerous annotations for performance
