A fine assemblage of portraits and letters by the leading English composers of the first quarter of the twentieth century. The letters, all addressed to the Bath portrait photographer Herbert Lambert, include two autograph letters by Elgar and a rather irate one by Stanford expressing his bafflement at being omitted from Lambert's list.
