including autograph copies of her letters in Italian and French during the years c.1814 to c.1825, including 1) "Lettere da me scritte à Vavone", ["...a Nonno sino alla sua morte nel 1814"; "...a zio Leopoldo"; "...Al Re ed alla Regina di Spagna", etc], over 100 pages, 4to, green morocco gilt, pink silk doublures, 1814-1816; 2) autograph copies of letters in French, 8vo, red roan glt, 1816-1827; 3) autograph copies of letters in Italian, 1821-1824; 4) secretarial copies of "Lettres...pour ses affairesparticulières1830-1837", 8vo, green roan-backed boards; 5) Important series of 12 volumes, retained secretarial copies of the Duchesse's letters, 4to, dark blue or green half roan, 1830-1855; 6) secretarial copies of letters 1864-1865 and 1866-1869, 2 volumes, 4to, cloth and half roan, with later items; together with 7) 2 volumes of tables and indexes of the letters; 8) 2 volumes of her autograph summaries of letters received and destroyed ("Lettres Brûlées"), arranged alphabetically by sender, 2 volumes, cloth-backed boards; 9) lists of letters received, 3 volumes, large 8vo, green half calf, together with 10) Caroline's pocket writing wallet, containing her autograph note book enumerating letters written, 16mo, 1834-1848, with a pen-knife ("M.C."), scissors, lead pencil etc, dark green roan wrappers, together with six manuscript volumes containing accounts and catalogues of her collection of paintings
