Folio (343 x 221mm.), engraved title-page, woodcut initials, head- and tailpieces, contemporary limp vellum, early manuscript annotations, title-leaf soiled, frayed and nearly detached, first few leaves (including title-leaf) damaged with some loss of text at upper corner, occasional light staining, P4 and Ii1 torn without loss, small wormhole in gutter, Qq4 slightly damaged with loss of a few letters, Yy2-3 detached and slightly shorter, last few leaves water-damaged and frayed, last leaf detached, binding soiled and detached; sold not subject to return

Catalogue Note

The first book printed in Tolosa, capital of the Basque province of Guipúzcoa. This is a rare work: the last copy to appear at auction was in 1965, and there are six copies recorded in Spanish libraries, but none elsewhere.
