Catalogue Note
A lavish publication about A.V. Zvenigorodsky's collection of tenth- and eleventh-century Byzantine enamels, now held by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, to which they were donated by J.P. Morgan. There were 600 copies printed, 200 each in Russian, French and German, all of which were designated for presentation rather than sale.
