Catalogue Note

The first edition of one of the greatest operas in the repertory.

Rare. We have traced no record of another copy of this exceedingly rare and sought-after first edition at auction in the last two decades. Only six copies in fact are known to Haberkamp. A full score of the work was not published until 1801. Only one other Mozart opera was published complete before the composer's early death in December 1791.
