Woodcut from The Apocalypse, circa 1496-1497, a very good impression, a proof before the German text edition of 1498, on paper with an Imperial Orb watermark (M. 53)
Condition
Trimmed to or on the borderline, pale brown stains mainly at upper left and lower right part of image, a central horizontal fold reinforced at extremities where broken through, some small tears and minor defects along edges of the sheet, paper discoloration and ocasional surface dirt, inscribed '13' in pen and ink in lower right corner, unframed.
