The painting is in good condition, as is the canvas, which is clear, taut and in its original state. Examination under ultraviolet light reveals some general retouching on the background on the upper register, along the left edge and on the lower left. On the figure itself, minor retouchings are found on the visage, neck, the negative space that enhances the silhouette of the waist, and along the curves. Retouchings are apparent only under UV light. Craquelures are found throughout the surface but the paint layers are well-preserved and in stable condition.
