OIL ON CANVAS LAID ON BOARD
- 48.5 BY 66 CM.; 19 BY 26 IN.
Provenance
Acquired in the 1920's by Alfred W. Eames, who was an agricultural pioneer in Hawaii and started a business there which eventually became Del Monte Foods, thence by descent.
Condition
The painting is in good condition, as is the canvas and the board it is laid upon, which is neither cracked nor warped. Examination under ultraviolet light reveas a few spots of retouching on the left and middle left edge, and on the upper left edge (possibly due to abrasions caused by the previous framing). Retouchings are visible only under UV light. The paint layers are intact.
