Fernando Cueto Amorsolo

Acquired in the 1920's by Alfred W. Eames, who was an agricultural pioneer in Hawaii and started a business there which eventually became Del Monte Foods, thence by descent.

 

The painting is in good condition, as is the canvas. Examination under ultraviolet light reveals retouching on the upper right and lower left corners, as well as a few scattered spots in the middle register (middle left, on the foliage near the banks and in the center on the middle banks). The paint layers are well-preserved.
