Catalogue Note

Part of the existence of an artist is the urge to create a world that's remote from what we already know. This world consists of the impossible and unimaginable. A place wherein borders are crossed, boundaries bridged and confines are broken. There are no limits. Only possibilities. Everything beyond our grasp is within reach and the unknown is on the verge of unraveling itself. But this comes with a responsibility to draw his audience into this world, to experience it with him and within this journey lies the artist's message which ironically can only be learned by living in the real world.

The people I paint serve as landscapes for my messages to reside. With this piece I invite the viewer to visit this place and try to see who gets it first. Do I make myself clear enough in my work for my message to come across or will the work unravel itself to the audience and stir up endless definitions that lead to little races and journeys within themselves?
