The evening bag composed of gold mesh set at the front with round and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 3.00 carats, gross weight approximately 268 dwts., measuring approximately 7½ by 3½ by 1¾ inches, mirror deficient; the compact composed of gold mesh, set with round diamonds weighing approximately .10 carat, gross weight approximately 82 dwts., the interior fitted with a mirror, powder screen and puff, together with a gilted gold-colored leather snake-skin print case.
Condition
BAG: as noted in the catalogue, the mirror is no longer present. Minor warping to the lower left hand corner of the front. Slight splitting and discoloration to the seam at the bag's base. In otherwise good condition. The diamonds are approximately G-I color, VS-SI clarity. Italian marks. COMPACT: The base with significant warping. Discoloration to the mirror, primarily around the periphery. Minor discoloration to the gold interior. With powder puff and screen. Diamonds are near colorless and decorative in quality. The leather case in faux snakeskin with moderate wear.
