Set in the center with an oval cabochon sapphire weighing 9.31 carats, flanked by 4 oval cabochon sapphires weighing approximately 40.65 carats, connected by rectangular links set with single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 3.50 carats, length 7 5/8  inches, maker's mark for Chaumet, French assay mark.

Condition

Accompanied by Gübelin report no. 9301009 (dated January 21, 1993) stating that the 9.31 carat sapphire is of Kashmir origin, no evidence of thermal treatment. Center certified sapphire is medium violetish blue, lightly included with typical Kashmir velvetiness. Other sapphires of slightly lighter violetish blue, lightly to moderately included, one with dark feathers. Diamonds are of approximately H to I color, VS clarity, with nice life. Metal has minor surface scratches due to wear. In good condition.
