A superb sapphire and diamond ring, circa 1965

Centring on a cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 19.92 carats, between triangular diamonds, mounted in platinum, size 57.

Stamped Pt 950 for platinum. Sapphire of rich blue colour, strong and even colour distribution, good lustre, some typical crystal inclusions. Some minor scratches, a few minor nicks and abrasion to facet junctions. For further information please refer to the Gübelin report. The triangular-shaped diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 2.50 carats, I-J colour, VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in mounting. Normal signs of wear to the metal, in good condition. By family tradition, this ring was purchased from the jeweller Massoni in Rome.
