Description

The brooch of buckle design set to the centre with a cluster of seed pearls, further set with buff top calibré-cut and cabochon sapphires, circular-cut coloured and colourless diamonds, French assay and partial maker's mark.

Condition

Stamped with French assay marks for platinum. Stamped with partly legible maker's mark. Seed pearls of various tints, good lustre, a few blemishes. Sapphires of medium colour saturation, overall well matched in colour. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 6.20 carats, colourless diamonds estimated with G-H colour, VS-SI clarity, diamonds of yellow, greenish yellow, orangey yellow and brownish orange tints, VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in mounting. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use and age, in good condition.
