Description
One brooch designed as a bee, the body set with circular-cut and oval yellow sapphires, the wings set with brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in gold, French assay marks; another designed as a swan, the eye set with a sapphire, the body pavé set with brilliant-cut diamonds, both numbered, signed Van Cleef & Arpels; the third of foliate design set with pear-shaped and brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in gold, signed Buccellati.
Condition
Flower brooch: Stamped 750 and 18 ct for gold. Signed Buccellati Italy on clasp. Pear-shaped diamond estimated to weigh approximately 0.45 carat, in our opinion H colour, VS-SI, remaining diamonds bright and lively.
Bee and swan brooches: Stamped 750 for 18 carats gold. Bee brooch signed Van Cleef & Arpels and partially illegible numbered ? 34975, swan brooch signed Van Cleef & Arpels, Made in France and numbered NY 51749. Diamonds bright and lively. Yellow sapphires clean to the naked eye, oval cut with some abrasions along the girdle.
All pieces with usual signs of wear to the metal, in good condition.
