Two gem-set and diamond rings

A ring claw-set with a star sapphire weighing 53.13 carats, the shoulders set with single-cut diamonds, size 53; and a ring centring on a cushion shaped topaz between shoulders set with tapered baguette and brilliant-cut diamonds, size 52.

Sapphire ring: Band stamped Pt 900 for platinum. Deep blue sapphire with good chatoyancy. Diamonds bright and lively. Topaz ring: Band stamped Pt 900 fpr platinum and R630 90% irid plat, signed JEC & Co. Topaz measuring approximately 17.74 x 17.25 x 17.15mm, calculated to weigh approximately 43.50 carats, orange, medium saturation, loupe clean, slightly loose in mount. Diamonds bright and lively. Both with scratches to bands consistent with wear. In good condition.
