Emerald and diamond ring, Boucheron

Description

Centring on a square step-cut emerald between shoulders set with pear-shaped diamonds, mounted in gold, size 51, signed Boucheron, French assay marks.

Condition

Accompanied by Laboratoire Français de Gemmologie report no. 194842 stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin with moderate indication of clarity enhancement (oil). Stamped with French assay marks and 750 for 18 carat gold. Signed Boucheron to the side of shank. Emerald measuring approximately 13.2 x 12.3 x 7.6 mm, estimated to weigh approximately 8.79 carats, good colour saturation with some typical crystal inclusions visible to the naked eye, few scratches, nicks and abrasion to the facet edges. Sizing beads in ring shank. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use, in good condition.
