This necklace is adapted from an old 19th century piece of jewellery, two segments at the back detachable, the front was probably originally worn as a tiara. Mounted in silver and gold, later rhodium plated. French assay marks on the mount of the larger diamond, maker's mark on tongue of one clasp of smaller segment. The larger cushion-shaped diamond weighing approximately 2.30 carats, graded in mount in our opinion G-H colour, SI clarity, the rest of the diamonds weigh a total of approximately 18.00 - 19.00 carats, of various cuts and qualities, with average G-I (few J-K) colour and VS-SI (few I) clarity. White to light cream colour natural pearls partly with rosé overtones, minor blemishes and good lustre. For further information on the pearls, please refer to SSEF report. Clasps secure, partially with safety catches. Normal signs of use to the metal, in good condition.
