Sapphire and diamond brooch/ pendant, 1950s

Of stylised foliate design, set with oval sapphires, to a mount millegrain set with circular- and single-cut diamonds, detachable brooch fitting, accompanied by fitted case signed Hamilton & Co Ltd.

Stamped Pt 950 for platinum. Sapphires medium to intense blue, showing typical inclusions visible to the naked eye and under magnification, one stone with chip to table, one with chip to reverse, surface reaching inclusions. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 5.50 - 6.00 carats, estimated colour H/I, estimated clarity SI on average. Detachable brooch fitting possibly later added. Pendant hook on reverse. Largest loop slightly loose, could benefit from attention by professional jeweller. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use, in good condition.
